I am known for being paler than pale – it’s a special talent of mine, my super power if you will (not that it’s really on the level of mind reading or anything, but hey ho). So when summer swings around the freckles come out and then that’s pretty much it. I may never reach that level of sun kissed bronzed that most people do, but that doesn’t mean I can’t exploit the beauty world for the best of the summer glow inducing products.
I woke up to the sun streaming through the window – perfect Saturday weather, which inspired a fresher look for my make up this weekend.
I bravely stepped away from the foundation *personal triumph* and stuck to the timeless summer combination of concealer and bronzer. I also may have cheated a little with my go to summer product and tan of choice: St Tropez Gradual Tan Face Lotion in Light/Medium (£14.30) – I applied this the night before to give a healthy glow come the morning.
My concealer of choice for this look was Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer Radiance & Anti-Fatigue (£7.99), I love the smooth application and the fact it comes in a shade light enough for my skin (51). The product contains apricot for radiance, melon for a moisturising element, and raspberry – a micro-circulation activator.
I used No7’s Perfectly Bronzed Bronzing Pearls (£9.95) to contour and complement the first of my freckles. I love this bronzer as the pearls are all in various shades of bronze giving a warm sun kissed effect, while not being too ‘sparkly’ (a pet peeve of mine).
I finished the look with a slick of mascara – SEVENTEEN’s Doll’d Up in black (£6.-29) and sorted my pout with 11 Two Ton Tomato Clinique Chubby Stick (£17.00), a perfect balance of moisture and colour pop.
